If you need a little extra help around the home, a Home Care Package could help. These government subsidies contribute to the cost of your care, reducing the financial burden and letting you remain at home for longer.
Home Caring is a registered Home Care Package provider. That means the government authorises us to provide home care services that meet your needs, including help around the house, transportation, and even finding employment.
How Do Home Care Packages Work?
Home Care Packages in The Maitland Region fall into two categories: My Aged Care Home Care Packages and NDIS Home Care Packages. Which you receive will depend on your age and circumstances. However, they both function in the same way. The government pays the lion’s share of your care costs while you contribute a small daily basic or income-tested fee. Then, you can use the funds in your account to buy the care services you need.
My Aged Care Home Care Packages are available through My Aged Care, a government department that serves older people needing care. The agency will assess your requirements and provide proportionate funding. Similarly, the NDIS provides Home Care Packages to people with disabilities. To obtain funding, you must apply and wait for an assessor to review your case, a process that can take several months.
Once you have funding, you can use it to pay for home care services. With Home Caring, you only pay for the care you need.
