What’s Included In Our Disability Care Services?

Home Caring follows NDIS guidance, facilitating comprehensive disability home care services designed around your needs. As such, we go beyond solely meeting your daily living requirements, helping you pursue your passions and achieve your goals. We’re here with you every step of the way.

Here are some of the services you can include in your care plan when you come to us:

  • Help around the house. Our team can assist you with daily living tasks, such as preparing meals, doing housework and managing your medications.
  • Assistive technologies. We also help you set up equipment that makes your daily life more straightforward, such as prosthetics, hearing aids, and mobility devices.
  • Socialisation and community access. Our team makes connecting with the people around you easier. Use us for community events, leisure activities, and socialising with friends.
  • Household management. We can assist with paying your bills, gardening and getting groceries. We keep your home just how you like it, recommending third-party services when something breaks or requires servicing.
  • Capacity building. We provide training and support to develop your life skills and independence.
  • Support ordination. Our team can liaise with allied healthcare services to ensure you receive any required treatment. We work with therapists, doctors, physiotherapists and anyone else on your health roster.
  • Job seeking and career development. Our carers also help you find employment and career development opportunities to help you live more independently.
  • Goal setting. Finally, we can work with you to set meaningful and purposeful goals to help you get the most from your funding (and life as a whole).

Essentially, our home care for disabled people in The Maitland Region is comprehensive. While daily living assistance and help with household chores matter, life should be about more than managing your disability. It should be fulfilling and uplifting.

That’s why Home Caring offers so much support in its disability care packages. You can use as little or as much as you need.

How Much Disability Care Do I Get?

The amount of disability care you receive depends on your level of need. NDIS officials will evaluate your disability and make a decision based on their findings.

Home Care Packages go from Level 1 (the most basic) to Level 4 (the most complex). The subsidy you can receive ranges from a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands. Then, you can allocate the funding to the services you need.

Most clients must contribute the Basic Daily Fee to their NDIS accounts to receive this funding (and possibly an Income-tested fee if you have money coming in from other sources). However, these are small compared to the government subsidy.

Who Qualifies For Disability Care in Australia?

We help people with all disabilities and injuries, and our staff have extensive training to deal with the most challenging circumstances disabled people face.

Anyone can pay privately for our support services. You can also get subsidised funding through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to support your care financially. To qualify for this money, you must:
